In some cases, we can take over billing without contacting the Google support. This functionality seems to be random, but check that first as it would be the easiest alternative.

First, head into the toolbar section, and choose “Settings” under “Billing”.

Then, head into “Billing transfers”. There, you should see an edit icon above the table with current and previous billing setups. The icon is marked blue when you’re able to change billing yourself, and is grey when you’re not able to do so.

Below is an example of when we would be able to make the switch ourselves.

If the icon is grey and non-clickable, the current payment manager need to contact the Google support in order to change the billing. Or, we could contact the Google support and add the current payment manager to the email thread that is created by Google. Either way, it’s optimal to fill in the below info and share that with the current payment manager so that it’s shared with Google when the support is contacted.
